At The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, our People Services department holds a key role in supporting our organisations overall success and we are now looking for an experienced manager to lead our advisory service. Our People Manager holds an important role in the People Services Leadership Team. You will support our Director of People Services with the departmental vision, working to ensure continuous improvement in line with our People Strategy and play a pivotal role in helping to shape and support our people, processes and platforms. An ability to coach and guide your team through the complexities and challenges of our work is essential, whilst always ensuring that as a business we keep moving forward. With support from our Advisory team, you will oversee all employee relations casework, providing guidance and support to your team and management in relation to investigations, hearings, attendance management, grievance, organisational change, and other staffing issues. You will also oversee the development of our recruitment and retention strategy, and associated activities and initiatives.

  • Experience of a broad range of employee relations casework, including disciplinary and performance management
  • Experience in recruitment and selection to support our practice of continuous development
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above.
