Full Job Description

At an exciting time of ambitious growth, your role of People Operations Apprentice in the People Operations team will play a key part in promoting a seamless and customer-focused experience across the employee lifecycle, and supporting our people (we call them Wisers) to do what they do best at Wise. You'll also have the opportunity to lean into global projects, both within our team and as a tribe with other People subteams, so that we have the foundations in place for our tribe to succeed as a trusted advisor and partner. And you'll likely spot ideas of your own that can further improve the operational engine in our team. With that in mind, we'll start you off with a couple of onboarding projects to help build on your knowledge and experience ahead of your own innovation

Onboarding support:

  • Manage the administrative process of onboarding new UK Wisers, ensuring that the Wiser journey is as smooth as possible with everyone kept in the loop

  • Book travel and accommodation for those who are relocating and/or attending company onboarding in other offices, working closely with the team to ensure we have appropriate immigration documentation in place

  • Coordinate adaptable onboarding plans and collaborate on future changes within our hybrid working environment

  • Partner with our User Tech (UT) and Workplace teams to ensure that new Wisers are set up for success on day 1

  • Support Leads with any onboarding guidance needed, providing a checklist of things to consider in advance of the new Wiser joining their team

  • Handle Day 1 new Wiser administration (e.g. right to work checks, payroll docs, benefits enrolment, etc.)

  • Wiser support:

  • Deal with Wiser questions on first-line queries (ticketing tool), escalating to the team as needed

  • Keep our HR system (Workday) up to date with accurate Wiser information

  • Prepare any required documentation for our Wisers (e.g. employment agreements, references, visa invitation letters, etc.)

  • Support our Payroll team with any documentation needed to process changes (e.g. joiners, benefits, etc.)

  • Maintain the team's content on Confluence (our intranet) so that Wisers can access correct information at any time

  • Team initiatives:

  • Collaborate with the People team on local and global projects

  • Contribute towards our planning cycles by attending review sessions, and sharing ideas for improvements and new projects

  • Provide support to the team with other ad-hoc tasks, focus areas and project-based work

Some initial work or office experience in a related field, so perhaps already having worked in the customer service industry or maybe even some People team experience
