Full Job Description

o Use our People and Payroll database (ResourceLink) daily to ensure that all contractual changes are made accurately and promptly to meet payroll deadlines, and corresponding employment documentation is issued.
o Act as a first point of contact for a wide range of queries from both staff and managers e.g., contractual, holiday, family-friendly leave amongst other queries relating to the employee lifecycle (full training will be given).
o Be proactive in ensuring that People records are up-to-date and accurate.
o Carry out DBS checks.
o Contribute to projects with a particular emphasis on improving systems and processes.

Are you looking for a busy part-time administrative role and have an interest in either gaining or expanding your knowledge of People Operations? If so, we have just the role for you.
We are looking for a part-time (22.5 hours per week) People Operations Assistant to join our People Operations Team. The Team provides a key and significant service within the University (circa 2100 employees) and we are looking for someone who has proven high level administrative skills, is a proactive and clear communicator and has a keen eye for detail., o The ability to plan, prioritise and organise a large workload and enjoy the challenge of working to deadlines.
o An excellent eye for detail and an ability to write clearly and grammatically.
o Experience of using People and Payroll databases, or equivalent, on a regular basis.
o Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of packages (Word, Outlook, Excel).
o Previous experience in a busy workplace environment.

Previous experience of working in an People environment is not required as full training and support will be given.
This role is eligible for agile working (working from home) for part of the week once formal training has been completed.
Working days will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday working as part of a job-share.
