HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a successful merged college group, based across 5 vibrant campuses. We offer high quality courses, apprenticeships and programmes for young people, enabling them to Be Extraordinary. We are excited to launch our new unified People and Organisational Development team in January 2025, which will enable us to renew and continue our journey to be an Employer of Choice. We are focused on enhancing our employees' experience, maintaining our compliance commitments, and enabling the goals of HRUC. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Employee Data and People Services, this is a newly created post that will provide strategic and operational support across HRUC that aligns and enables the achievement of HRUC's strategic objectives and values. Partnering with Senior Leaders the role plays a crucial part in facilitating a high-performance culture. Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders and act as a trusted advisor on People matters
- Provide expert advice and support on employment law and best practices to managers and staff across the college group
- Drive People projects and initiatives to enable the strategic aims of HRUC, including talent management, staff engagement, and diversity initiatives
- Develop and implement strategic workforce plans to meet the current and future needs of the college
- Play a key role in change management processes, providing expertise in organisational development and restructuring
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and innovative individual who can demonstrate the following: - CIPD qualification (Level 5) or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in handling a wide range of employee relations issues
- The ability to work strategically and operationally to implement initiatives that align with the organisation's goals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships quickly
- Skilled at negotiation, influencing and excellent customer service skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
