Full Job Description
We are looking for a People Partner to provide guidance and support to the Employee Relations (ER) team and manage high level and escalated employee-related cases, often involving complex legal issues and multiple parties. To develop and drive the delivery of our ER approach and roadmap ensuring the provision of a consistent, 'platinum' service to the business which is strategic aligned and legally compliant. Responsibilities Provide leadership and support:
- Act as a point of escalation for the ER team and provide expert guidance and support with escalated ER cases.
- Manage and support the delivery of ER initiatives, such as toolkits, root cause analysis. Working with the People Partnering network & key stakeholders to identify project deliverables, support the development of the strategy, rationale and the phasing of the implementation.
- Oversee the development and management of HR policies and procedures relating to ER to ensure they are current and effective and consistently applied across the business.
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of team performance metrics assessing performance against function KPIs. Ensuring that data is at the heart of all activity, enabling data driven decisions and effective measurement. Provide effective employee relations management:
- Manage and resolve escalated employee-related cases with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality ensuring all cases are managed in a timely and effective manner and are legally compliant.
- Manage and support cases escalated to ACAS and those that have progressed to an employment tribunal.
- Act as an expert consultant for the business and People Operations with technical referrals on HR cases. ââProvide a valued and high-quality Employee Relations Service:
- Ensure the timely, and effective resolution of escalated employee relations issues.
- Ensure cases are handled in compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
- Ensure that continuous improvement is embedded in all processes and that evolution of colleague experience alongside process efficiency continues.
- Work with the business and the People teams to ensure the customer journey provides a 'platinum' experience at every touchpoint.
- Ensure the HRIS data quality of the cases managed.
- Demonstrate credibility and competence to enhance stakeholder confidence of People Operations. Develop and maintain productive senior stakeholder relationships:
- In conjunction with the People Partnering teams, and People Centres of Excellence, ensure employee-related matters are handled effectively and efficiently.
- Work closely with legal advisors and external partners to ensure the organisation is fully compliant with employment legislation. Provide Insight:
- Use people data effectively to make informed business decisions and forecast longer term business needs and trends. Establish the root cause of cases and prepare lessons learnt so decision-making can be improved throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Have a company view of ER cases and provide regular updates and emerging trends to the Senior HRBP for OD and ER and the wider People Leadership team.
- Conduct horizon scanning to anticipate and prepare for changes in legislation, case law, and future workplace trends, ensuring the organisation remains compliant and proactive in addressing emerging challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation. - Strong problem solving and conflict resolution.
- Remain tactful and diplomatic whilst asking effective questions to establish information and fact.

- Ability to work with and challenge legal counsel in relation to cases.

- Proven track record of managing complex employee relations cases to a high level.
- Working knowledge of Employment Law and of current HR best practice, trends, and changes.
- Proven ability to develop and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple cases at once.
- Ability plan, lead and drive employee relations initiatives and roadmaps
- Employment tribunal support and preparation.
