Full Job Description
DWP is looking to fill the People Performance Lead role in the People Strategy directorate, part of the Centre of Expertise for Performance Management., The role available will be based in one of the following locations: Leeds (Quarry House), Glasgow (Atlantic Quay), Newcastle (Benton Park View), Sheffield (Kings Court), Cardiff (Ty Taf) Blackpool (Peel Park). For roles based in Wales, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
A typical day in the role involves a mix of activities including engaging with stakeholders within People & Capability such as Talent or Policy but also across the whole of DWP. This can look like attending meetings to provide insight on the People Performance approach or working together to identify opportunities to collaborate and make connections into other work areas.

This role is a key part of the People Performance Centre of Expertise. Successful candidates can expect to be involved in the following:
Policy Management: Maintenance, advice and guidance in relation to Performance Management and Managing Poor Performance policy and procedures. Continuous improvement of relevant guidance and procedures, development of resources and tools that support users and build capability especially for Line Managers.
Stakeholder Management: Leading and managing a large and diverse network of key stakeholders including Business representatives, HR Business Partners, People & Capability, including colleagues in Capability, Talent and Learning and Across Government - in particular, partner departments who are part of the DWP Synergy Cluster.
Communications: Written and verbal communications with a wide range of colleagues including drafting policy/procedures, communication messages and briefings for senior leader. Leading presentations and meetings and delivering upskilling sessions.
