Full Job Description

If you're eager to escape the routine of a 'typical' working day, this role may be exactly what you're looking for! As a Performance and Improvement Officer, you'll experience variety every day and face new challenges that make a real difference in waste management across Lincolnshire. Here's a snapshot of your potential responsibilities:

Community Engagement: Connect with residents and local businesses to provide support and personalised advice on waste practices, with a focus on improving recycling quality across the county's diverse communities.
Supporting Operations: Collaborate with District Council waste teams, provide training, work with collection crews, and help identify contamination issues to maintain consistent waste collection practices.
Investigations and Analysis: Conduct in-depth reviews on bin rejections, contamination levels and additional waste capacity requests to identify improvement opportunities.
Waste Minimisation: Contribute to broader waste reduction goals across the entire waste team.
Educational Outreach: Lead workshops and talks in schools, at community events, and at group meetings, educating on the environmental impact of waste, disposal methods, and the journey of waste beyond collection day.
Public Interaction: Represent LCC at events like the Lincolnshire Show and local markets, providing information and answering questions on waste disposal and management.
