Do you have a passion for the performing arts and the power they hold to enhance wellbeing? Are you experienced in leading vocal groups, ensembles, and performances? We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer in Performing Art to lead our new Community Performing Arts for Wellbeing Course. This exciting role involves delivering inspiring and engaging sessions designed to promote mental and emotional wellbeing through the performing arts. Using your expertise, you'll create a safe and enjoyable environment where participants can explore vocal expression, ensemble performance, and the therapeutic benefits of music and drama. This is a flexible, variable-hours position, ideal for a performing arts practitioner who wants to make a meaningful impact on their community.,

  • Plan and deliver interactive, creative sessions focused on vocal and ensemble work.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for diverse groups of participants.
  • Support participants' confidence and wellbeing through performance-based activities.
  • Share your expertise in singing and performing to inspire and motivate learners.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help individuals achieve personal growth.

    Experience leading vocal groups and ensembles (e.g., choirs, community groups, theatre troupes).
  • A strong background in singing and performing, with a love for sharing these skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with participants.
  • A commitment to fostering creativity, confidence, and wellbeing through the arts.
  • While a teaching qualification is not required, experience facilitating workshops or group activities is highly desirable.
