Full Job Description
The responsibility of the registered practitioner/nurse is to work as a member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, practising a high standard of clinical care and participating in all activities of the department to enhance the patient's experience. The post holder will work flexibly along side team members to meet the needs of the service. The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty
The Paediatric Day Surgery unit is looking to recruit a registered Paediatric nurse to join the team. Delivering care to patients attending for day surgery, from pre assessment, admission and through to discharge.
You should be a motivated, dynamic and caring registered practitioner who is able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice. You must possess excellent communication and team working qualities, with a willingness to learn new skills. You should also thrive on working in a busy environment and be forward thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care. We welcome individuals who have an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff.
Support and training will be given to staff to develop their skills in all areas of the day surgery service.
Working within the pre assessment, admission and discharge areas, recovery area and theatres you will deliver high quality care to our patient group
