Full Job Description

We are looking for a band 8a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service in Cornwall. We are a countywide service, offering multidisciplinary support and psychological therapies to women experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties resulting from their perinatal experiences. This post would involve providing assessment and highly specialist therapeutic interventions to both antenatal and postnatal clients of the main perinatal team, as well as those of our integrated Perinatal Loss and Trauma team. The post therefore offers a balance between early help/preventative/consultation work and highly specialist interventions for individuals with more acute and complex needs. Training and supervision in a range of interventions to deliver and support our NICE informed care pathways is supported and encouraged. You will be joining a supportive multi-disciplinary team made up of Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Nursery Nurses, Health Visitors, a Midwife and Peer Support Workers. Staff wellbeing, trauma informed practice, and evidence-based care pathways are important principles that guide how the Perinatal Service works.,

  • You will be part of an innovative and supportive Psychological Therapies team dedicated to providing high-quality clinical care, and will have responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of the psychology service.
