Due to expansion of the Coventry and Warwickshire Perinatal Mental Health Loss pathwaywe have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our Perinatal Mental Health Team to work within the Psychology 'Loss Pathway",

The loss pathway is embedded within the Perinatal Mental Health Team and will be made up of Clinical psychology, Assistant psychologist, Midwifery and peer support .

By using your own lived experience you will be supporting people who are accessing these services. You will evidence and show visible recovery; showing that change is possible and giving a strong message of hope and understanding. You will be a positive role model helping to inspire, motivate, guide and support our people to engage with services and work on their recovery. Using your lived experience you will offer emotional and practical support, helping people move to a positive, meaningful and fulfilled future.

The ideal person will work side by side and assist dynamic multidisciplinary teams of workers providing support to members of the local community with Perinatal loss. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment as you work alongside experienced senior staff and receive regular supervision within the service. There will be a range of internal and external training opportunities. You will be in a position to develop the role and be a part of a service undergoing exciting organisational change.

Applicants must have lived experience of maternal loss and will ideally have received support within secondary care mental health services.
