Full Job Description

Are you a midwife looking for a new challenge, are you passionate about developing and maintaining high standards of care for women with mental health complexities during pregnancy and the postnatal period?, The post holder will work in partnership with service users, the multi-disciplinary team and local stakeholders to improve and protect mental wellbeing. This role will have key specialist clinical, consultative, training, practice development and strategic responsibilities

You will provide a link between the maternity service and the other services involved in mental health care to women, including local IAPT providers and specialist mental health teams

The post holder will ensure the delivery of high quality care to women experiencing mental health challenges and with the support of the maternity matron, contribute to the strategic direction for maternity and womens services.

You will develop and monitor evidence based practice ensuring a robust professional approach to service development and ensure that any subsequent changes to services are underpinned by appropriate support around training and education.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated midwife who will act as an expert and a role model in the field of perinatal mental health and provide clinical and professional leadership to the Maternity service.
