Full Job Description

The Tower Hamlets Perinatal Community Team is a specialist mental health team that supports women and birthing people in the perinatal period with moderate to severe mental health difficulties using a multi-disciplinary approach. As a specialist service, it takes on complex cases in secondary mental health services. The Perinatal Community Team has close links with the East London Mother and Baby Unit., The successful post holder will be passionate about Perinatal Mental Health, delivering Psychological treatments in a developed Psychology Service for Perinatal service users and working inclusively to address health inequalities in our diverse borough. The post holder will supervise psychology colleagues, hold their own caseload and work closely with other leads and the multidisciplinary team.

The post holder should have a special interest in supporting women in the perinatal period and experience of working as a qualified psychologist in either perinatal mental health services or other secondary care psychological services. You should have a keen interest in promoting equality and diversity within psychology and an awareness of the borough we work in and the challenges of existing health inequalities. This a leadership post, the post holder should have an interest in developing their skills in supervision, management and service development.
