Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Programme Management Office team within the Local Maternity and Neonatal System. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic nurse or midwife to develop the perinatal transformation work to ensure that women and babies have access to safe and personalised care on a system-wide scale.

The aim is to improve the health of our families, specifically focusing on the planning, delivery, implementation and evaluation of transformation initiatives in maternity and neonatal care and reporting on the safety and quality of services.

This will be achieved by:

Monitoring trust progress on the recommendations in the Three-Year Delivery Plan for Maternity and Neonatal services and aligned objectives within the annual plan for the Derbyshire LMNS.

Reviewing plans to implement services that meet the requirements of the LMNS Maternity and Neonatal Equity and Equality plan to reduce inequalities in experience and outcomes for women, birthing people and babies.

Working in partnership with Derbyshire Maternity and Neonatal Voices to strengthen the family voice in transformation work and ensure services are co-produced wherever possible., The Perinatal Transformation Manager will work closely with the Lead Midwife Quality and Safety and work-stream/delivery group members and leads to:

Support the Head of Quality Maternity and Neonatal and wider team (including clinical leads) to ensure that the work-stream and projects are developed, planned, managed and delivered effectively.

Work with the LMNS PMO team to develop, plan, facilitate, monitor and communicate progress of project and programmes related to National and Local Policy and the LMNS Equity and Equality action plan - ensuring that additional activities are initiated wherever gaps or risks are identified;

Work in a proactive and supportive manner with key stakeholders to ensure that changes in policy and practice are embedded in services to deliver the care in the most effective, efficient and qualitative way for mothers, birthing people and babies.

Work with the LMNS PMO team to ensure progress is reported effectively and that records are sufficient to demonstrate that risks and issues are being managed, progress on key tasks and milestones is being maintained and expected outcomes are being delivered.

Be the subject matter expert and provide Midwifery/Nursing advice to the LMNS regarding maternity and neonatal care delivery.
