This exciting offer is initially for a fixed term 12 month period .

We have exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual/s to join our maternity team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching hospital as a Specialist Midwife for Perineal Pelvic Health.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated midwife/ midwives to join our outstanding team of supportive and dedicated Midwifery and Medical staff, helping to further the outstanding 5 star patient care provided by all.

Are you an experienced midwife with a passion for pelvic health and perineal care and a desire for improving services for women and their families accessing maternity services.

At Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching hospitals we are enhancing our service for pelvic floor dysfunction and provide, timely, evidence-based treatment for women., We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated midwife/ midwives with significant clinical experience to provide leadership and service implementation within our maternity services.

You will need to have experience of change management and successful service implementation and be confident and competent in perineal suturing and care.

The role will involve training and support for staff as well as assessment, personalised care planning and onward referral working with the MDT team.

Providing adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancashire. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.

Specialist Regional Services

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
