Full Job Description

Are you a friendly and adaptable person? Is community important to you? Do you enjoy a variety of different activities from bowling and swimming to enthusiastically exploring the local park?

Become a Bank Support Worker

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It's their life, their way.

Our Outreach support across the Shipley and Keighley area works with people living in their own homes. We need people like you to ensure they can live as independently as possible.

We are looking for flexible and open-minded people to join our team. If you are energetic and love trying new activities and are passionate about helping people to access their community, then we want to hear from you.

You could be empowering people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best life!

For this role we need you to be a driver with access to your own vehicle, so you can get around Shipley and Keighley and make the most of the time you are spending with the people you support.

You should be available to work a variety shifts across the week and alternate weekends.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Bank Support Worker. We can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it's not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new - what a feeling!
If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
