Full Job Description

I am 25-year-old male who has a diagnosis of complex epilepsy. I am looking for a caring individual to join our support team to work with myself to live my life to the full. I am looking for someone to support me to live as independent as possible, encouraging me to access the community as well as supporting me within my home, which I share with my family.

My Personal Assistant would be fully trained to assist me with my urgent care needs and respond effectively to my epilepsy, recognizing my seizures and administering my rescue medication following my protocols. Throughout my day I require support to complete my day-to-day tasks as independently as I can, knowing that my Personal Assistant is on hand should I need assistance with my personal care, meal preparation, accessing the community, attending the gym, medication administration or any other activities which could arise.

I am looking for an individual who is reliable, trustworthy, kind and caring, whilst being able to have a good sense of humor and encourage me to live my best life. The candidate would be required to use their own initiative and be able to respond to urgent situations efficiently. Car drivers with a full, clean driving license are essential, and candidates must meet the requirements for motor insurance purposes. You will be required to get to know myself through meetings, shadowing, and a bespoke training programme. You will receive all mandatory training and specialised training annually.

Solo Support Services recognises that everyone has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect. We will actively promote the safety, health and well-being of everyone in our care by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate within the organisation. We believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).

· Company pension scheme after 3 months' service, subject to the scheme rules.
