Full Job Description

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant/Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Dean of School and contribute to the smooth running of our administrative functions., Provide comprehensive personal assistant and secretarial support to the Dean of School.
Manage correspondence, including receiving, sorting, drafting, and distributing letters and memos.
Organize and service meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and maintaining records.
Assist with diary management, travel arrangements, and preparing documents for meetings.
Handle incoming calls and visitors to the Dean's office, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
Maintain office filing systems, both electronic and web-based, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurately filed.
Support the Dean with HR processes, financial documentation, and other administrative tasks as required.

Recent experience working as a PA or in a similar administrative role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic diary and filing systems.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high degree of customer contact experience.

Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
GCSEs in English Language and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent experience.
Desirable Skills:

Experience working in an educational environment.
Shorthand or audio typing skills, or a willingness to learn.
