About the Job:

We require a PA to support a young woman who has Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy, which is currently well managed, to access activities in the community.
The right person must be naturally caring and patient and enjoy activities such as cycling, walking, and swimming. The position is in Kinmel Bay, but flexibility is required when attending activities, the ability to drive and have access to a car is required for this post.

Main Tasks:

To provide support and encouragement with activities in the community, such as swimming, cycling, bowling, shopping, and going for walks, and to assist with the use of a wheelchair when necessary.
To build up a trusting relationship.
To take part in social activities and be open to trying new things.
A full clean driving license and access to a car is essential for this post.
I can express my needs verbally, but initially it can be difficult for someone that doesn't know me to understand what I'm saying.
When going for a walk I may need to link arms with you as I can be a little unsteady and have some difficulty with coordination.
I enjoy going to the local cafes for coffee or a snack but will need assistance to manage my money and to carry any food or drinks.

The PA must be compassionate, caring, and respectful.
Establish and maintain a professional and efficient standard of care.
Ensure that due consideration is always given to Health and Safety.
Undertake the role with due regard to any physical, social and recreational needs.
Respect and safeguard all my goods and property.
Respect my privacy and always uphold confidentiality,
It is important that the PA is punctual, reliable, and flexible.
To undertake any training should this be required.
You must always adhere to safe working practices and to health and safety guidance.
