Full Job Description

I am looking for a caring, encouraging PA who can take her out to and participate
in fun activities such as swimming and walks, and there will be days when you join
in with family trips out so that I have an extra pair of hands to ensure both my girls
have adult attention. There might be occasions where support will happen in our
home; this might include indoor creative activities and helping me with bath times.

My daughter has Autism and can present some challenging behaviour so you will
need to be someone adaptable, reading and responding to her needs
appropriately. You will also need to be a fast runner to catch her if she decides to
run off.

Initially a flexible approach will be required to establish what support will be best
for her.

Duties include:
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Other relevant duties as required
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Supporting my daughter when accessing social and leisure activities e.g.
swimming, walks to the park etc.
Whilst on duty at the employer's home assisting with craft activities or activities
linked to interests.

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued
employment contracts.

    Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

    Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
    Be flexible and adaptable.
    Experience working with Autistic children is desirable.
    First Aid Training desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.

    and 1 other day (times and dates are flexible and negotiable), occasional

    Hourly pay rate:
    £14 per hour. Mileage expenses:45p per mile
