Full Job Description

Are you looking for an active, fun role? I am looking for a calm, creative and happy personal assistant for my 11 year
old son with Autism.
He loves baking, walks, sensory play/activities, swimming (anything to do with water really!). He flaps his hands and
jumps up and down when he is happy. He is generally very chilled out but there are moments when he is a bundle of
energy and needs to busy and focused. He loves one to one support.
As a PA, you will accompany him on outdoor activities such as swimming, picnics, going to the park, ensuring his
safety and helping him feel secure to participate in activities and experiences.

Duties include:
Eating and drinking assistance
Other relevant duties as required
Transportation
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Help with accessing and participating in social and leisure activities, going to parks, café, picnics, swimming,
leisure centres., All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring
Service check if required.
Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual
employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued
employment contracts.
