Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Personal Assistant to support the Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Lloyds Banking Group. The Executive leads two Functions for the Group; Sustainability and Responsible Business and Group Corporate Affairs, meaning that this role is both fast paced and varied. Our teams play a key role in support of the Group's climate and nature ambitions, Responsible Business activity and in enhancing and protecting the Group's reputation.

You'll be part of a small team along with the Executive Assistant / Chief of Staff and Business Support Manager who you'll work very closely with in the day-to-day operation of the Executive's office. You'll be the first point of contact for the Executive ensuring effective use of their time and maximising their ability to deliver in role.

You'll own a wide range of activity including:

  • Complex diary management - you'll be prioritising activity daily and planning ahead to ensure effective use of the Executive's time.

  • Building strong relationships with Executive offices, colleagues across both functions and the Group - it'll be these relationships that make you effective in role.

  • Coordinating and booking meetings, liaising closely with other Executive Offices including at Chair and CEO level.

  • Preparing the Executive for meetings and interactions- you'll take pride in producing high quality information to support all appointments.

  • Inbox management - you'll help to filter, escalate and action incoming queries, working closely with colleagues across both functions to do so.

  • Arranging local and international travel on behalf of the Executive.

  • Coordination of signature events in the Corporate Affairs calendar internally and externally including colleague engagement activity and high-profile stakeholder events. You'll look after event delivery and logistics from end to end including supplier and delegate management.

  • Processing of expenses and purchase orders on behalf of the Executive and the Executive Office, including delegated responsibilities / approvals across internal platforms.

  • Identifying processes that could be streamlined / improved to ensure the continued effective running of the Functions and/or Executive Office. We're always looking for ways to improve!


  • The role will be London based alongside the Executive and existing support team.

  • Experience working as a Personal Assistant and in particular dealing with senior internal and external partners.

  • Excellent stakeholder skills, capable of interacting with all levels of the organisation as well as senior external partners and their offices.

  • The ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple demands across both yours and the Executive's portfolio.

  • Strong organisational skills to ensure the Executive is prepared in advance of all meetings with relevant papers, briefings, etc.

  • Good judgement, planning and prioritising own work to meet commitments aligned with the Executive's objectives, influencing others along the way.

  • Experience in delivering internal and external events as well as carrying out delegate management for high-profile individuals.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confident user of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook.
