An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant within the Learning Environment Team to support the workstreams of the Learning Environment Lead Nurse and Associate Director of Nursing Workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced secretary to join our corporate team, based at Kettering General Hospital.
You will be required to support the Learning Environment team and Associate Director of Nursing Workforce lead in meetings, taking minutes, drafting agendas, diary management, maintaining nursing and Allied Health Professional clinical placement and workforce activity across the Trust and assistance in organising training events. A flexible and proactive approach will be required with a high level of initiative and professionalism.

We would consider this as a developmental post for someone working towards completion of NVQ Level 3 Administration or equivalent., The post holder will be expected to provide a full range of administrative secretarial support to the Senior Management Team, to include:
+ Providing a complete PA service including answering of incoming telephone traffic, word processing, preparation of agendas and minute taking, filing, data collection, photocopying and the composition of letters.
+ Distributing and prioritising incoming mail, using judgement and experience to decide who to filter them to directly for action and information.
+ Providing the first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries, some of which may be sensitive, using judgement to establish the validity and priority of the contact.
+ Organising and coordinating data collection activities to meet the teams workstreams.

Including factual reference, occupational health clearance and statutory and mandatory training record.
If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £13. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
Please note that news starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.
