Full Job Description
All Personal Skills Assistant roles are term time only - 38 Weeks per year
Various hours available
Calderdale College is looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who will support our learners in developing their literacy and numeracy skills and help them achieve their course aims. The successful applicant will also be required to undertake the learners' personal care duties as their need dictates.
You will be joining our outstanding department and will be working closely with our learners and tutors. You must be committed to the learner's development as well as your own and be educated to at least a level 2 (GCSE or O level) in Literacy and Numeracy and be willing to undertake any further training as directed.
You will be approachable, self-motivated and have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of young and vulnerable people. You will have a positive and flexible attitude to work, have the ability to take the initiative as required and independently solve problems. You must be a supportive and co-operative team player.
