Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Personal Tutor for the Service Industries Academy, who will work within the Early Years and Childcare department. The Role is pivotal in our ambitions to provide all students with the best possible experience at college. The role encompasses student support and advocation, whilst working alongside curriculum staff to enhance positive experiences, wellbeing, and academic achievement at college., As a Personal Tutor you will play a crucial role in not only supporting individual student needs but also in contributing to the broader mission of providing an enriching and supportive learning environment. Personal tutors will support and work with curriculum staff and students by implementing and assisting interventions to improve well-being, attendance and academic success.,

  • Provide personalised support to students to ensure their well-being and academic success
  • Work closely with teaching staff to enhance students' academic and personal experiences
  • Implement and support interventions aimed at improving student outcomes and areas
  • Delivering a range of engaging tutorials through the SHAPE programme

    The ability to work across college teams, including SEND, academic staff, exams and Safeguarding
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with learners
  • Experience in leading improvements in student participation, attendance and behaviour
  • Experience in supporting students with low-level safeguarding concerns
