Full Job Description
We are looking for someone to join the training team as a Lived Experience trainer to support and facilitate the roll-out of the new model for Care Planning in Mental Health Services, named 'Your Team Your Conversation Your Plan'. The person will be collaborating with the training team and other lived experience colleagues to co-design the training curriculum and facilitate and create content for face-to-face training days and online modules. They will also support by ensuring the voices of those who have lived experience of using Mental Health services are heard and carried throughout the training modules. The person will ensure their lived experience of using services is heard throughout the programme and fed back to staff. Ideally the person will have used Mental Health Services under the previous model for care planning, named 'Care Programme Approach' (CPA)., This role is for people with lived experience of using secondary care mental health services and/or for those who have been under the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and have received a care plan or been allocated a care coordinator. You must clearly state how you meet this lived experience requirement in the application in the supporting information section.
In this exciting opportunity, you will use your experiences and knowledge to support the development and facilitation of a programme which aims to train a significant number of staff working for a range of organisations to carry out Personalised Care and Support Planning.This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is aiming to assist staff to operationalise the new Your Team, Your Conversation, Your Plan approach and to place co-production and collaboration at the heart of their practice.
You will be supporting the ongoing design, planning and delivery of training to a wide range of staff working within Mental Health Services. You will be working with people with lived experience of Mental Health services and be a point of contact to others who are supporting this piece of work. You will need to work as part of the team implementing the new approach and you will need to work flexibly and independently to support this.
