Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experience educational professional to influence provision of education and training for the current and future PET-CT imaging workforce nationally and potentially internationally. We are looking for a new PET-CT Academy manager to plan, develop and oversee delivery of, a hybrid programme of education, ensuring effectiveness and quality, and relevance and reach to current and future workforce nationally.
As a member of, the PET-CT Academy Senior Management Team (SMT) the individual will be heavily involved in setting strategic goals, overseeing partnership relationships, manage contracted deliverables. The person will be the educational point of contact for Alliance Medical Ltd on all education matters
Additionally the individual will personally oversee development of cutting-edge innovation within all modalities of delivery, ensuring effective quality and outcome metrics, engagement with professional and statutory bodies and outreach to learners and commissioners across all areas of the UK., The role takes operational leadership for the management of a small education team and for working with the relevant clinical and educational directors, clinicians, managers and staff within The Christie, AML and through out the national PET-CT Academy network.
Suitable candidates will have substantial experience leading and managing hybrid educational programmes in the health care sector. Specific knowledge or experience of PET-CT scanning is not required. Your application will demonstrate a passion for using innovative approaches to developing other people and improving patient care. You will have experience managing of both face to face and online learning, and will able to demonstrate expertise in delivering online learning using modern technologies and innovative approaches to learning.
You will have the ability to work with engage, motivate, influence, and enthuse others, showing a passion for behaviour changing education and an empathy with the pressures of busy NHS professionals. You will be able to evidence that you can manage teams autonomously, deliver to deadline under pressure, maintain professional boundaries, manage budgets, be flexible to meet the needs of the workforce, and be a compassionate and supportive colleague to others in the team.
You will be able to travel occasionally to support delivery of education across the UK.
You'll be joining our PET-CT academy at an exciting time, as we prepare to set plans in motion for the next 10 years. The PET-CT Academy brings together 3 distinct areas of health care services, Christie medical physics and engineering, Christie radiology team and Christie Education. The post and their team sit within Education, under the Director of Teaching, Learning and Quality and has accountabilities to the Academy senior team which is drawn from each of these three areas.
The post holder will establish a key relationship with the workforce team at Alliance Medical Ltd, our partner in delivering Academy services. Alliance Medical is a private company who lead the way in high-quality diagnostic imaging.
