Full Job Description

The Pharma Program Lead will be responsible for understanding and prioritizing the customer problems to solve in the discovery and regulated pharma markets, with a key focus on bioanalysis/DMPK. They will develop the necessary value propositions for sub-segments of the pharma market, develop business cases, product/workflow roadmaps, pricing and launch plans for disruptive pharma TQ products, workflows and partnerships. Scope will include ownership and execution of TQ pharma marketing, partnerships and collaborations, product/workflow development, and the coordination of a cross-divisional team targeting commercial success and business growth. This position operates a sub-segment of the TQ portfolio in the RDAT business segment and reports to the TQ Portfolio Owner. The Pharma Program Lead will execute strategic RDAT business segment pharma growth plans, including assisting in identifying unique market opportunities and customer needs, managing the TQ pharma product/workflow development pipeline. They will enable solution development, on-target delivery of business cases, and lead teams to develop and deliver solutions that address unmet customer needs, backed with scientific integrity and thought leadership. The Pharma Program Lead will be responsible for commercializing and managing solutions through their lifecycle, including the coordination of product/workflow management, marketing, software and hardware development. They will be measured on pharma TQ revenue growth and profitability. Critical during times of change, this leader will support the TQ Portfolio Owner to attract and develop world-class talent to strengthen the succession pipeline for long-term growth. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for pharma TQ strategic initiative execution and business growth
  • Responsible for the delivery of pharma TQ products and solutions
  • Develops the pharma TQ value propositions, business cases, product/workflow roadmaps, pricing and launch plans
  • Manages a cross-functional program team to execute the development, launch and life cycle management activities required for pharma TQ solutions, partnerships and collaborations
  • Drives launch, commercialization and field-led activities
  • Obtains customer feedback to measure the success of pharma TQ solutions and emerging customer needs
  • Identifies inorganic growth opportunities related to future solutions / adjacencies
  • Measures and manages key business performance indicators against business case objectives and forecasts
  • Represents the pharma TQ business, e.g. reporting to executive leadership, developing and supporting regional commercial business needs and opportunities
  • Recruits, retains, and develops a high performing team

  • Education
  • Degree or higher-level qualification in the life, physical or chemical sciences, a technology or business-related field.
  • Professional marketing qualification, MBA or equivalent preferable.
  • Experience & Competencies
  • 5+ years of people, functional and/or project/campaign management experience, preferably in a similar industry / scientific environment.
  • Strong experience working with or within the pharmaceutical industry, with a solid understanding of the DMPK/bioanalytical regulatory landscape worldwide.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and rapport across organisations and with customers/scientists.
  • Can-do attitude and desire to go beyond.
  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Strategic vision combined with exceptional organisational, planning and execution skills.
  • Sound business acumen with keen sales/commercial understanding.
  • Financial and fiscal experience of working to budgetary guidelines and compiling compelling investment proposals/business cases.
  • Cross cultural agility and sensitivity.
  • Fluency in English; an additional language would be an advantage.
