Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated registered pharmacist to join our fantastic team at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust on the outskirts of Skipton. You will have the opportunity to work in hospital pharmacy and will be funded to undertake the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy. We look to develop our pharmacists, with the prospects of progressing from band 6 to band 7 clinical pharmacists.
The pharmacy service at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has a high profile and is well integrated into multi-disciplinary teams, providing a much valued contribution to patient care. This is an exciting time for our Pharmacy Department as we continue to improve and develop our clinical pharmacy service., This pharmacist post will contribute to our clinical pharmacy service supporting medical and surgical wards as well as the hospital dispensary and aseptic unit. The successful candidates will be able to further develop their clinical and personal skills through on-call and late shift work in the dispensary. There will be opportunities to gain experience in medicines information, procurement, anticoagulation clinics as well as being actively involved in our learning at lunch teaching sessions.

You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The post holder will need to meet deadlines, be adaptable and have the ability to exercise initiative, operate within procedural guidelines and prioritise workloads in response to changing demands.
The post holder is expected promote the highest standards of professional practice, Trust Policies and Procedures, whilst observing principles of clinical governance, and the "Standards of Conduct, Ethics and Performance" issued by the General Pharmaceutical Council.
In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution
