Full Job Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy assistant to join our small team in HMP Cardiff. The post holder will use the Wellsky computer system in order to label and dispense medications to the patients in our care as well as maintain stock of drugs in the on-site Pharmacy and in treatment rooms., The main duties of the job include;

  • Prepare labels and dispense medication for patients
  • Maintain stock of drugs in the dispensary
  • Answer the telephone and deal with simple queries
  • Undertake wing stock top-ups
  • Assist with stock checks, stocktaking and expiry date checks

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
