Full Job Description

This role will be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Glenfield Hospital ; however the successful candidate may on occasion be required to work at other UHL sites.
This is an interesting and varied role and involves supporting the service through daily activities within the pharmacy clinical trials department.
You will be a team player, have a strong work ethic and sense of accountability whilst also supporting the team. You will need to have an eye for detail, use your own initiative and be able to work flexibly to tight deadlines in sometimes changing and challenging circumstances.
In addition you will need to be confident in communicating over the phone and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a busy clinical trials environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
+ Undertake clinical trials dispensing within Standard operating Procedures
+ Take action in accordance with SOPs when areas of concern or errors are discovered in the receipt, handling, storage and supply of clinical trials material or monitoring of clinical trials
equipment.
+ Organise clinical trials folders to ensure ease of use and when required, produce statistical workload data.
+ To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by line managers.
+ Acting as a secondary contact for commercial companies, licensed manufacturing units and principal investigators with respect to trials in the absence of the senior technician.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
