Full Job Description

The Outpatient Pharmacy service is open on Monday to Friday from 9am to 8.30pm and Saturday's from 9am to 2.30pm. As a Pharmacy Coordinator at Bupa our patients will be your top priority. Who we're looking for This is a key role within the Pharmacy Team to assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meets the needs of all service users. The post holder will contribute to the efficient day to day running of the dispensary, working under the supervision of a Senior Pharmacy Technician and receiving Pharmacist support. The Pharmacy Coordinator will provide exceptional front counter service to our patients, staff and healthcare professionals in the Cromwell Hospital. You'll help us make health happen by:

  • You will coordinator front counter service, identifying customer needs and offering appropriate advice, registering patients, taking payments, whilst working with the wider pharmacy team
  • You'll contribute to the efficient day to day running of the dispensary, working under the supervision of a Senior Pharmacy Technician and receiving Pharmacist support.
  • You'll ensure that a consistent high-quality service is delivered to all our patient, staff and healthcare professionals.
  • This role will be flexible between the pharmacy locations to ensure that a consistent high quality, effective and safe service is delivered to all our customers.
  • Duties to include:
  • Dispensing and checking
  • Stock management
  • Participate in patient counselling and department counter service as appropriate.
  • Ensuring dispensary duties are completed.
  • All processes must be in line with legislation: CQC, Home Office, GPh.C, and MHRA and BCH SOP standards.

    Excellent written and spoken English.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification
  • Drug nomenclature.
  • Pharmacy counter experience.
  • Cash handling experience and stock control.
  • Experience of retail / hospital pharmacy within dispensary setting
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent customer service skills
