Full Job Description

Due to promotion we are looking for a Pharmacy Production Operator. The post holder will support the Pharmacy Technicians and ATO's in providing a safe, efficient service for intravenous Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT) at Velindre Cancer Centre., There is plenty of variety in this job in the aseptic unit, preparing IV SACT. The post holder will work closely with the rest of the team in a cleanroom environment, including using grade A negative isolators, and will assist in the provision of a pharmaceutical service to Velindre University NHS Trust and outside the trust, under a service level agreement. The post holder will participate in the training and development of new members of staff, and will undertake process checks of colleagues to ensure that the correct products and volumes are being used for an individual preparation according to SOPs.

All work will be undertaken in specialist clean room facilities operated under strict regulatory standards. We are looking for people with good manipulation skills and an understanding of aseptic technique. The post holder will be a qualified technician or has proven relevant clean room experience. Recent hospital experience is desirable, but we will consider candidates from all pharmacy sectors or relevant skills gained in other areas of practice., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
