  • Key Result Areas 1)To provide effective management of the service under direction of Senior Production staff as follows: a) To provide a first point of contact for service users including clinical teams, outpatient clinics and ward staff. b) To liaise with service users and providers and deliver effective communication. c) To assist in co-ordinating the day-to-day workload by receiving and processing orders and communicating with the multi-disciplinary pharmacy team. d) To ensure accurate stock levels of medicinal products are maintained by performing routine stock takes, completing orders and ensuring stock rotation throughout the process. e) To manage the ordering and maintenance of outsourced stock and patient specific aseptic products in liaison with the Pharmacy Procurement Team. f) Manage data input and assist in the development of the Pharmacy Capacity Plan to monitor the staffing and equipment capacity of the department. g) To participate in the training of all staff new to the aseptic unit. 2. To undertake a range of administrative duties to support the department. a) To print prescriptions and maintain workload diaries using Chemocare Electronic Prescribing system b) To manage stock of sundries and consumable items using Agresso system. c) To operate and develop administrative systems, to ensure appropriate filing and archiving of documents. d) To undertake data entry on the JAC pharmacy computer system. e) To manage staffing levels through the use of Healthroster f) To support the operation of meetings within the Production Unit. g) To comply with departmental error and deviation management procedures at all times. h) To perform general reception duties and query resolution duties. i) To support the Production Manager in a range of other administrative duties to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Production Unit., 1. To undertake other duties as requested by the Head of Medicines Management 2. To participate in Weekend and Bank Holiday working in accordance with departmental rotas 3. To actively participate in the Staff Appraisal process 4. To always maintain confidentiality relating to the patients, staff and the Trust 5. To be familiar and compliant with relevant Operational, Personnel, Health and Safety policies and procedures including Fire, COSHH, No Smoking and Alcohol 6. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to local infection control policies 7. To contribute to Quality Governance within Pharmacy Services.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and well organised individual to work within the Pharmacy Production department. The successful individual will work to provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Pharmacy Production Unit to enable the delivery of a safe, timely and responsive service. Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and team working skills and have experience of supporting and encouraging others whilst working in a busy office/customer service environment. The successful applicant will be required to have typing skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
