RESPECT - COMPASSION - TEAMWORK - PROFESSIONALISM, The role will involve working on the Dispensary Reception, acting as the first point of contact for the department by greeting patients, parents/carers and other healthcare professionals.
The role also entails answering the department's telephone, entering prescriptions on to the electronic prescription tracker, directing calls to the appropriate person and general administration duties of filing, faxing, photocopying etc., To assist in providing an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative support to the Dispensary and other service areas of the Pharmacy Department in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. To deal with day-to-day enquiries from staff members, the public, patients and other hospital departments in courteous, efficient and timely manner.

    You must be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm supporting innovation and delivering an excellent patient experience.
    It is essential that you have a GCSE A
  • - C or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language. NVQ Level 2 in customer services (or equivalent) or willing to work towards a customer services qualification.

  • Previous experience within a customer service or hospital environment is desired but not essential, as full training will be provided.
    If you have good communication skills, have a compassionate, sensitive and tactful nature and are able to work well within a team and be well organised then this is the job for you!
