We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to join our Pharmacy Department as the Pharmacy Stores Team Leader. This is a Band 4 / 5 post depending on experience.
Medicines optimisation is central to our services, and we are dedicated to providing the best possible patient experience and care to ensure optimal outcomes from their medications.
Our friendly and progressive Pharmacy Department seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team, who will be responsible for supervising, directing, organizing, and monitoring the performance of our Pharmacy Stores team., The Pharmacy Stores Team Leader role is centred around maintaining high work standards and ensuring efficient and safe distribution systems.
Core responsibilities include ordering essential items to prevent shortages, supporting deputy responsible person(s) to undertake day-to-day Wholesaler Dealer Authorisation (WDA) licensed activities, and organizing workloads.
Ensuring that the service and facilities are compliant with all aspects of Good Distribution Practice (EU GDP 2013/C 343/01) and all other relevant medicines regulations and quality standards is a key part of this role.
Other tasks include assisting with staff training and serving as a superuser for pharmacy robots, troubleshooting errors, and providing training and support to the operational lead in all aspects of regulatory audit (internal and external).
Additionally, this role involves supporting the Trust Outpatient Pharmacy and collaborating with other pharmacy team members to enhance patient care and flow.
