Pharmacy Support Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at at HMP YOI Doncaster, a Category B male adult prison and YOI based in Marshgate, with operational capacity of 1145. This is a fantastic opportunity start or continue your career in Pharmacy and Healthcare - no previous experience is necessary, and we will support you with lots of training and development opportunities, as well as progression to Pharmacy Assistant and onwards! Hours This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. The Pharmacy team work a rolling rota over 4 weeks, 15 shifts per 4 weeks. The shifts vary weekly, and you will work alternate weekends., As our new Pharmacy Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Provide high quality support to the supply, preparation and assembly of medicines under the direction of the responsible Pharmacist
• Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians
• Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines
• Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
• Work in the medication hatches on the wings, as well as within the onsite Pharmacy
• Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

• No experience is necessary - we are looking for someone with a keen interest in Pharmacy, and keen to pursue a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare
• An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus, but isn't essential
• Ideally have medicines handling experience, although this isn't essential
• Be a hard worker, diligent, with a high attention to detail
