  • Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
  • You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

  • NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
  • Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
  • Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.   • We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Oakwood, a category C Prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prison in the UK, housing over 1,500 men. The Pharmacy Team consists of 10 Pharmacy Techs, 2 Pharmacy Assistants. There are 3 main houseblocks which have two dispensaries to work out of and three smaller units with one dispensary. The site offers:

  • Various shift patterns, This role is permanent based on 37.5 hours per week role covering shifts Monday - Sunday on a 8 week rolling rota, working every other weekend.
  • Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm or 7.30pm
  • Weekends - 7.30am - 5.30pm, This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £27,247 - £32,346 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
