Full Job Description

The successful candidate will demonstrate dynamism and commitment and be a valued as a team player whilst assisting the Specialist Technicians in the running of the dispensary.

As a member of the Patient Services team, you would be encouraged to contribute to the forward planning of the department and help in the co-ordination of workflow whilst undertaking a wide range of duties including accuracy checking and dispensing.

The dispensary opening hours are 8:45am - 7pm and working hours for this post can be negotiated. Full time and part will be considered.

Main duties of the job

Undertake a wide range of duties at both dispensary and ward level, including contributing to medicines management systems.

Check dispensed items for accuracy as an accreditedchecker.

Contribute to the efficient delivery of the Pharmaceutical Service to Patients, Wards, and Departments both within the Trust and to other healthcare organisations.

Supervise the work of other staff in Dispensary Services section.

We provide care and support to over half a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, in community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (in Wakefield).
