Full Job Description

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimum performance of the pharmacy IT systems working with a large team on variety of exciting and innovative projects. The post holder will work closely with the Lead Pharmacist - Electronic Prescribing and Administration in the deployment and development of Electronic Prescribing and Administration (EPMA) solutions within the trust. The role will be delivered across an appropriate range of EPMA aspects and will vary in levels of responsibility between project lead, delivery and support., 1. Maintenance and development of data integrity and quality within the WellSky EPMA system database; creating and updating prescribable medicines, user access settings and other critical system data. 2. Liaison with WellSky and trust IM&T staff to ensure the appropriate maintenance of the WellSky EPMA system and the continued delivery of its functions. 3. Liaison with trust staff to ensure the appropriate implementation and utilisation of the WellSky EPMA system in the delivery of their services. 4. Assist the Lead Pharmacist and team colleagues in the production, implementation and development of reports from the WellSky EPMA system as required. 5. In concert with the Lead Pharmacist and the trust IM&T training team, devise, develop, maintain and deliver EPMA system-related training packages (programmes & materials) for trust staff. 6. In concert with the Lead Pharmacist - Electronic Prescribing and Administration, and the trust's IM&T training team, devise, develop, maintain and deliver EPMA system-related training packages (programmes & materials) for trust staff. 6. Where appropriate, facilitate & provide out of hours support in relation to the EPMA system. Undertake dispensing and final dispensing checking duties as required to maintain own dispensing and final checking competence, and to support weekday, weekend, public holiday and late night rotas., The Trust is committed to promoting a healthy work-life balance and achieve fair, equitable and consistent practice. The amount of £23 (standard disclosure) or £43 (enhanced disclosure) will be deducted from salary, in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment. Bank posts require upfront payment. DBS applications submitted from 2nd December will be subject to the new DBS fee of £26.50 (standard) and £54.50 (Enhanced). From April 2017, Skilled visa applicants and their adult dependant(s) will be required to provide a criminal record certificate from each country they have lived in consecutively for 12 months or more in the past ten years.   • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent), Demonstrable post qualification hospital pharmacy experience
  • Significant experience with the JAC system, including file maintenance, standard and ad-hoc reporting
  • Proven track record in training and production of training documentation
  • Proven Track record in change management, Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office suite, Crystal Reports and PC management
