Full Job Description

This project will investigate the use of simultaneous-transmit-and-receive (STAR) technology to determine the feasibility of SAR missions integrated into LEO communication satellites (i.e., allowing for joint communications and sensing).

Applicants should have a good background in electrical engineering, with communications and radar skills highly desirable., Applicants must hold/achieve a minimum of a merit at master's degree level (or international equivalent) in a science, mathematics or engineering discipline. Applicants without a master's qualification may be considered on an exceptional basis, provided they hold a first-class undergraduate degree. Please note, acceptance will also depend on evidence of readiness to pursue a research degree.

Minimum tax-free stipend at the current UKRI rate is £19,237 for 2024/25, Home fee rate covered along with a Research Training Support Grant of £2,000 per annum.
