Job Title: Phlebotomist
Grade: Band 3
Trust: West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust
Location: Hemel Hempstead General Hospital/St Albans Centre
Ward/Dept: Phlebotomy
Hours: Full time - Up to 37.5 hours per week (can job share)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.30
Pay Rates - Day: £13.07 per hour

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust have exciting opportunities for Phlebotomists to join their very busy, friendly phlebotomy teams within the week.
The two possible sites of work will be at Hemel Hempstead HP2 4AD, St Albans City Hospital AL3 5PN in where previous hospital experience is a necessity to be considered for the role.
Responsibilities of this job role
If you are successful in your application to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on the responsibilities outlined below - as well as those not included here, call today to discuss further:
- The post holder will be trained to collect and accept samples from the phlebotomy clinic.
- The samples will need to be marked onto the EPR system as collected.
- These will then be repackaged and placed into the collection bag for courier transport.
- Inputting data on the computer and marking the specimens required as collected
- Relevant Qualifications
- Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
- Weekly pay to give you access to your wages more quickly.

- First choice of shifts/placements at the Trust of your choice over agencies.
