Full Job Description

Due to the expansion of our busy service we are looking for a dynamic individuals with excellent communication skills to join our Phlebotomy Service. You will work within a dedicated team who provide front line care to hospital inpatients, outpatients & GP patients.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to working as the Phlebotomy service is provided 7 days a week operated on a rota basis. You must be willing to work weekends and bank holidays.Excellent communication and organisational skills are integral to the post. We're looking for someone who thrives in a team environment, takes initiative, and is eager to learn new skills. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of service are essential in this role. You'll need to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment while delivering consistent, top-quality service.

Experience working with patients and staff in a hospital or blood test clinic setting will be an advantage.

You'll play a key role in facilitating clear and effective communication between laboratory staff, clinical teams, and external clients. Whether offering advice, clarifying test requests, or addressing queries, you'll do so in a professional and approachable manner. Strong IT skills will also be essential for communicating via various digital platforms.

In addition, you'll manage stock levels by ordering supplies from Main Stores and rotating inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
