Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Phlebotomy Administrator to join our friendly, expanding service. The primary base will be located at Braunstone Health and Social Care Centre, Leicester., In addition to general administrative duties, the role will include -

  • Using the electronic patient record system (SystmOne), completing electronic referrals and tasks.
  • Assisting where appropriate with data collection for audit purposes.
  • Data entry.
  • Supporting the Phlebotomy team.
  • Being responsible for ordering and monitoring equipment and ensuring sufficient stores are in place for various equipment., patterns in line with our flexible working policy. For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.     You will need to demonstrate excellent communicational skills and be able to work independently, together with having a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team and to use your own initiative.
  • The primary responsibilities for the post holder would be to assist with the organisation and upkeep of administrative systems and help support the team to provide a seamless journey for our patients from admission to discharge. This role is central in allocating care to patients in a timely and effective manner, so the ability to prioritise while remaining calm under pressure will be an advantage. The Phlebotomy service use an electronic patient record system called SystmOne and experience of working on this system would be advantageous, however the required training will be provided to the successful candidates., The following skills are essential to the role:
  • Experience with databases.
  • Competent with all Microsoft Office systems.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills., You will need to be a good team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your work effectively.
