Full Job Description

A skilled educational practitioner with a calm and supportive manner and a positive and solution-focussed mindset is required to work with children on the Physical Disability Caseload.

You will have experience of working with children and young people with SEN and want to make a positive difference to learning outcomes and access to education. You hold GCSE Maths and English grades 4 or above (or equivalent) and have good spoken and written English language skills. You will be able to communicate sensitively and appropriately with children, parents/carers, and colleagues. You can work positively as part of a team and feel confident to work alone following the guidance of Specialist Teachers. Ideally you will have experience of supporting and advising in an educational setting and qualifications relating to Early Years or child development., Disability Confident About Disability Confident A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer. The SENSS Physical Disabilities Team provides a range of support and guidance to schools in Oxfordshire with the aim of improving outcomes for children who have a physical disability.

  • The role is term time only (39 weeks per year) with 6.65 holiday weeks paid (i.e. 45.65 paid weeks per year)
