Full Job Description

You will provide expert assistance to multidisciplinary teams in the provision of high quality care to patients. You will work under the direction of a supervising Consultant and mentor, working collaboratively with other members of the clinical team and working within the Trust's policies and clinical guidelines. You will be expected to liaise with other professionals and specialties as required and complete necessary documentation relating to your patients. You will perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skill and knowledge, working within clinical environments. You will become involved in all activities of the Directorate, including clinical governance, quality improvement projects, research and teaching. You may also represent the Directorate at internal and external meetings as appropriate, In this role, you will assess and examine patients, initiate and interpret investigations and recommend appropriate management as well as present patients and plans to the team when appropriate. Under Consultant supervision, you will participate in ward rounds, medical triage, and clinics to assess and plan management for patients. You will work with and support other healthcare professionals within the medical team.

+ Please note that the salary advertised is for full time hours. If this post is less than 37.5 hours per week, the salary will be pro-rata. For posts on Agenda for Change pay-scales, new entrants to the NHS will normally commence on the first pay point of the relevant band.

Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS)

The healthcare sector is exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
In line with other NHS organisations in the North West Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. Candidates can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months as a deduction from the monthly salary. However, if you are applying for a post as a BANK worker, the payment must be made in full at the time of employment checks. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £42.90 and for a Standard Disclosure £22.90 which includes a small handling fee.
