Full Job Description
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective physics lessons to students in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and educational activities that cater to the varying needs and abilities of students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
- Maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
- Contribute to the pastoral care and well-being of students.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in physics education and continue professional development.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). - Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a specialization in Physics or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching physics at secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
