Full Job Description

The Physiotherapy Service Lead is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the designated physiotherapy services, including delivery of targets and providing a high quality service for all patients. To provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring a fit for purpose, competent and compassionate workforce. Financial responsibility - ensuring that the team are delivering within allocated resources, demonstrating financial responsibility including contributing to the QIPP plan. Responsible for supporting the current workforce while looking for opportunities for developing additional capacity to support patient flow and seven day working. Promote the involvement of Physiotherapy and Integrated Therapy services at Directorate levels across the respective Divisions through proactive team working. To ensure that all clinical, professional and quality indicators are met, including key performance indicators. This will include a focus on the timely discharge of
patients for inpatient services, maintain Internal professional standards and Best Practice Fracture NOF tariff. To hold a clinical caseload and provide specialist professional advice and guidance in the assessment and treatment of patients within the Service Leads speciality; to determine the therapy treatment indicated and to maintain records as an autonomous practitioner. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service,all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUHs PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity and Excellence.
