Full Job Description
Principally to provide a service, under the direction of a registered practitioner, to individuals and groups within a defined area.
To work with direction to assist the registered practitioner in clinical and administrative duties following specific competency- based training.
To promote physical and functional rehabilitation.
To work under supervision and assist the Therapist in clinical and administrative duties.
To be delegated routine interventions to be carried out independently, and to progress these interventions within guidelines laid down by the registered practitioner, being responsible and accountable for these tasks.
The post holder will work within an agreed job plan andobjectives which will be reviewed yearly as part of the UHB appraisal process.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an interest in rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills are key and it is important that you are a team player with a positive outlook, enthusiasm and ability to learn and develop new skills. Previous experience in rehabilitation within a health care setting is desirable.
