Full Job Description
Our Operation in Stowmarket is looking for a meticulous Inventory Checker where you will undertake daily physical stock checks, process returns and damages across the operation.
This role will see you working Monday - Friday, 06:00-14:30.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into Inventory Admin Supervisor you will:
Maintain the PI (Perpetual Inventory) checking schedule, ensuring all anomalies are logged, reported, and thoroughly investigated.
Conduct daily PI checks of pick-face stock and address discrepancies promptly.
Handle customer returns efficiently within the Warehouse Management System, updating relevant spreadsheets and ensuring accurate records.
Accurately process damaged and recovered items in WMS, complete associated spreadsheets, and ensure proper documentation.
Perform stock checks for racking and bulk locations in line with the PI schedule.
Assist in order checking to ensure high standards of accuracy.
Support various stock control tasks as needed, including participation in external stock audits.
The ideal candidate you will have proven experience ideally within a stock or inventory control environment, be able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards problem solving and customer centricity. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with exceptional numeracy and data accuracy skills. It goes without saying that you will be IT Literate with the ability to use Warehouse Management Systems.
You will be able to prioritise a busy workload with good communication skills both written and verbal and excellent attention to detail.
A scissor lift license is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
